Never mind, I found it. Honestly, I like cooking it, because you really get a puree, rather than little bits of spinach. My girls are amazing detectives at locating little green leaves. : )

Hello! Thanks for this new recipe! I love my purees and was looking for new recipes. I don't cook the blueberries and spinach (I use fresh) but just puree them fresh. They are cooked in the baking process so the step isn't needed. The sneaky chef posted this recipe update on her blog :) happy baking!

Beautiful! We often have the same disappointment with the quality of craft-kit supplies -- once you get used to high quality art supplies, it's hard to be happy with the cheap stuff. But your tie-dyes came out wonderfully!

July 24
Barbara, Thank you for including me in your address list for Three Girl Pileup. I love this picture of the clothes line and what you have written. I guess I hadn't articulated it before even to myself, but I always want to share in the process of washing clothes and using the line to whatever degree I can. I had a few happy moments out there this time. I know every inch of the ground and just where the sunny spots are and the shadows. Nice to find this "goodie" on my computer. It humanizes the technology for me. Love. Kay

A quick thing about the time factor with clotheslines -- when I hang the clothes up, I group them by whose dresser they wind up in, so one person's clothes goes on the left, another in the middle, and the third on the right.

When I take the clothes off the line, I fold them as I do so, trying to fold one person's clothes, then another's, then another's. As I do that, I usually fold all of the things that go in the same drawer at a time, so maybe I'll fold t-shirts for one person, then skirts/shorts for that person, then underwear, etc.

It doesn't take any more time, really, to put things on the line in a particular way or take them off in a particular order, but in the end, I have each person's clothes in their own basket with the items neatly folded with like items roughly together and ready to go into dresser drawers.

I haven't timed myself, but I actually think that it takes me less time to hang out the clothes and fold/sort them in one step at the end than it does to put them in the dryer, get them out of the dryer in a big heap, and then fold and sort the heap. And I wind up with less baskets full of clean but unfolded laundry around to fold all at once in some marathon session during the week.

I like the idea of balance and small steps -- everyone has to do what works for them. We find that the clothesline works well for us most of the time, but I'm glad to have the dryer as backup!
